Medical Marijuana Doctors in Cape Coral and Lee County
The state publishes a list of every doctor qualified to certify patients, and republishes it every Friday. It is a 118-page PDF covering the whole of Florida. This is the Lee County part of it, kept current and searchable.
Before you call
Being on this list means one thing: the Department of Health has qualified that doctor to certify patients. It is not a recommendation, and it is not a statement that they are accepting new patients, that they practice near you, or that they will certify you. only a qualified physician can decide that, after examining you.
Your first certification has to be in person. Fla. Stat. 381.986(4)(a) requires the initial examination to be face to face; telehealth becomes an option later, for renewals with the same doctor. That is why the national "get your card online today" services cannot serve a first-time Florida patient, and why a local list is the useful one.
Ask about cost when you call. Clinic pricing varies between practices and changes without notice, so your clinic is the accurate source. Ask what an initial certification costs and what a renewal costs, because they are usually different. Our yearly cost guide explains why you will pay a doctor roughly twice a year.
Write the questions down before you go. A first appointment covers a lot and most people leave having forgotten one of the three things they meant to ask. Our printable checklist is the short version to take with you.
This list is county-wide, not city-wide. The state publishes qualified doctors for Lee County, so practices in Fort Myers appear here alongside those in Cape Coral, and the drive may well be the shorter way round. If you are working from that side of the river, our sister site covers the same decision from there: choosing a certifying physician and what to bring to a certification appointment.

Source: Florida Department of Health, Office of Medical Marijuana Use Qualified Physician List, republished weekly. We reproduce it as published. Where an address or phone number is missing or incomplete, it is missing in the state's own file.
How this list is kept
It is rebuilt automatically from the state's own file every Friday, so it should never be more than a week behind the source. The date it was drawn from is printed above the list instead of hidden, and our build refuses to ship if the data goes stale.
We reproduce what the state publishes, including its gaps. Some entries have no phone number and one has an address with no street name. Those are missing in the state's own file, and were not lost by us. Where a listing looks wrong, the authoritative source is the Department of Health, and the qualified physician search will confirm any individual license.
The order is alphabetical by city and then by name. That is deliberate and it isn't a ranking. We don't rate or rank licensed professionals, for the same reason we removed every dispensary star rating from this site. If you spot something out of date, tell us.
The card guide covers qualifying conditions, the four steps and what the state charges, and is worth reading before you book an appointment.
This page reproduces a public state record. It is not medical or legal advice, it is not a recommendation of any doctor, and inclusion here is not an endorsement. Nobody pays to appear on this list or to appear higher on it.
