Cookie Notice
This site sets no cookies of its own, and nothing loads a tracker unless you ask it to. Only one thing can set cookies, the email signup, and only after you click it.
Why there is no banner
Consent banners exist because most sites set advertising and cross-site-tracking cookies the moment you arrive. We do not. Reading this site sets nothing, so on arrival there is nothing to consent to.
The one exception is the optional email signup, on the home page and the games, quiz and medical card pages, and it is built so that nothing loads until you press the button. Pressing it is the consent.
The email signup
The signup is our own form. It loads no third-party script and sets no cookie, whether you use it or ignore it.
It used to be an embed from our email provider, which pulled in Google reCAPTCHA and set cookies, so we only loaded it once you pressed the button. We replaced it in August 2026 with a form of our own, and that workaround is gone because there is nothing left to defer.
When you send it, your address goes to EmailOctopus, who hold the list and send the emails. Nothing else about your visit goes with it, and blocking automated signups is now handled by a hidden field rather than by anything that watches you.
What is stored on your device
Exactly one thing, and only if you interact with the age prompt: your confirmation that you are 21 or over is written to your browser's session storage under the key "age-ok".
Session storage is not a cookie. It is never transmitted to us or to anyone else, it holds no personal information, and your browser erases it when you close the tab. Its only job is to stop the prompt appearing on every page of the same visit.
Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which was chosen specifically because it is cookieless. It does not set cookies, does not fingerprint your device, and does not track you across other websites. We see aggregate page counts, nothing that identifies you.
Other servers your browser contacts
Some things on this site reach servers we do not run. Only the first two happen on their own; the rest need you to do something first.
None of them sets a cookie while you are here. The only one that sets cookies at all is Amazon, and it does so on Amazon, after you have left.
- Google Fonts, on every page: the typefaces load from Google's servers. Google does not set cookies for font requests, but the request does carry your IP address to Google.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics, on every page: a small measurement script from Cloudflare. It sets no cookies and does not fingerprint your device, but the request carries your IP address to Cloudflare, which as the site's host already receives it.
- EmailOctopus, only if you send the signup form: your address is passed to them so they can hold the list and send the emails. No script of theirs runs here and no cookie is set.
- Amazon, only if you follow a product link: Amazon sets its own cookies on Amazon's site to attribute the referral. That is Amazon's cookie under Amazon's policy, set after you leave here.
Blocking storage
Every browser lets you block or clear cookies and site storage. If you block storage for this site, everything still works. The age prompt will simply appear again on your next page load, because there is nowhere to record that you answered it.
Changes
If we ever add something that sets a cookie, this page will say so before it goes live, and we will add whatever consent mechanism the law requires at that point.
