Affiliate Disclosure
This site earns commission on some outbound links. Here is exactly which ones, and what that does and does not buy.
The disclosure
Cannabis Cape Coral participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying buys.
If you follow one of those links and buy something, we may receive a small commission. The price you pay is exactly the same either way.
Which links pay us
Only the accessory product links, which are labeled "View on Amazon" and marked as sponsored in the page's HTML.
Dispensary links, government and state resources, advocacy organizations and news sources pay us nothing. Those are there because they are useful.
What commission does not buy
Nobody pays us to be recommended, ranked higher, or described favorably. No dispensary, brand or manufacturer has editorial input into this site, and none has paid for placement.
We only link to a product when we can confirm the specific item on the retailer's site. If we cannot confirm it, the product comes off the page rather than being linked speculatively.
- We do not display prices, because a stale price is a misleading one. Check the current price on the retailer's site.
- We do not link to seed banks or home-cultivation equipment. Home grow is not legal in Florida.
- We do not accept payment for reviews or for inclusion in any listing.
Where this appears
A short version of this disclosure sits at the top of our shop page, above the first product link and before you reach any of them. The build fails if a page carrying affiliate links ships without it. This page is the long version, and every "View on Amazon" link is also marked as sponsored in the page's HTML so software can see it too.
Future programs
We expect to add other affiliate programs over time, starting with cannabis-specific retailers. When that happens this page will name them before the links go live, and the same rules will apply.
One thing we will not add is a per-referral commission on medical card certifications, which is what most sites in this space run. Florida's Patient Brokering Act (Fla. Stat. 817.505) prohibits paying or receiving a commission for patient referrals, and it is not limited to insurance. Being cash-pay does not exempt anyone. If a clinic ever appears on this site it will be a flat, disclosed placement fee that does not vary with how many people book, which is the exception Fla. Stat. 817.505(3) actually allows.
